ORSC Fundamentals (Module 1)

In two intensive days, you get a solid grounding in the ORSC model for transformational work with human systems in business and personal life. You get the practical tools and skills to get started in the real world. And ongoing support for the first three months.

This course is a pre-requisite for the advanced series.

An intermediate-level foundation course in Organisation and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC). The principles and the key practices of leading and coaching human systems in business, the public sector and private life.

To take this course, you should have experience in at least one of the following:

  • Manager/leader or coach or Agile practitioner or psychologist/counsellor or OD/HR or consultant or entrepreneur with a team of at least 5.

Your investment

Time and effort:

  1. Half an hour with one of the course leaders via Zoom or phone, a few weeks before the course – focusing your learning intentions

  2. Two full days, 9 am to 5 pm sharp, interactive learning and pushing boundaries on the course

  3. Apply your learning in your world thereafter

  4. ORSC Application Call: Group check-in via Zoom after a month. What worked, what didn’t work, what needs tweaking or further learning to maximise impact

  5. After another month, a second group ORSC Application Call with one of the ORSC Global Faculty.

Pre-requisites:

When you walk away from the Fundamentals, you have enough to

  • Start practising as a team and relationship coach (but you are not certified or accredited after a two day workshop!)

  • Adapt your leadership and consulting style to be much more systems aware and effective in getting team and client engagement

Outcomes

Deep insights into how human systems think, breathe and feel – less tangling with individual dramas. And you walk away with practical skills you can use the very next day, including:

  • Relationships and performance by design How to design a team/partnership culture collaboratively and hold each other accountable for maintaining it

  • Address conflict systemically Take teams and/or individuals from conflict to alignment based on discovering common interests

  • Shift the atmosphere How to build positivity in teams under fire

  • Hear all the voices What it takes to hear all voices in a team – even the quiet ones – including practical tools for quick snapshots of where the team is at, enabling everybody to engage in finding a way forward

  • Have the hard conversations constructively Learn about the four “team toxins” and their antidotes: the core knowledge and skills needed to redirect common corrosive communication styles such as sarcasm, stonewalling and defensiveness.

ICF Accredited Your certificate includes 12 Accredited Coach Specific Training Hours (ACSTH) from the International Coach Federation (ICF) – counting towards an ICF credential, plus access to the extraordinary advanced ORSC Series.

Beyond the tools A really powerful model for listening to the voice of the system, including all voices and responding constructively to conflict. This fundamentally supports working with teams, partnerships and organisations as whole entities in support of collaboration, innovation and results.
